About Us

ABC Care, a nonprofit corporation, intends for our school age childcare centers to provide a safe, secure, fun, recreational and educational experience.  We started in 1989 and continue to grow with the needs of our community.  We are parents, just like you, and love what we do.  ABC Care, Inc. has a strong commitment to give school-age children in Carroll County and Baltimore County the best care and education possible. Our programs are accessible and affordable to families needing our services. We teach children valuable, life learning lessons, such as conflict resolution, social skills, problem solving techniques and the importance of contributing to the community. We offer a structured day, with children grouped according to age. We provide freedom within our structure to offer children as many choices as possible. We offer "extra care" for professional teacher days, early closings, late openings and certain holidays. We will open at two locations when it snows, as long as it is under 6 inches. ABC gives parents peace of mind, knowing that their children are supervised, having fun and most importantly that they are SAFE!

We are proud to announce... during the 07/08 and 08/09 school years, ABC Care will be going through the National Accreditation process at each of our centers. Our centers that are currently accredited are scheduled for re-accreditation. (Please see list below).  Our commitment to quality school age child care is proven as we are the only before and after school program in Maryland to have multiple centers nationally accredited. The accreditation process is a lengthy course of action that includes the evaluation of NAA representatives, school principles, staff members, families and notably, the children that attend ABC Care!
