EXCITING, EXCELLENT ELDERSBURG ADVENTURE CAMP!

St. Joseph Catholic Church on Route 26 in the Eldersburg area is the location for our exciting, excellent Eldersburg Adventure Camp! One of our oldest camps still maintains the “new” camp feel by changing things up to make camp a fantastic experience for all our campers.

The Eldersburg Adventure Camp location features large open areas for team games and sports, a sand volleyball court, a large picnic area, a shaded grove area, and a large blacktop area for bike and scooter days and a huge gym for active games on bad weather days.   The Adventure groups will be taking part in 2 weekly field trips to fun locations.

Each week they will visit our Cascade Water Camp. While at Cascade Lake, they will have full access to the zero entry pool and water slide. They may choose to visit the Splash N Play area where they can cool off in the fountains or take a hike along the lake side trails. Some campers may choose to go with their counselors to the spring-fed lake for a dip in the cool water. This is purely optional for those visits to Cascade Lake. Swim lessons available for every Tuesday we attend our Cascade Water Camp!

Eldersburg Adventure Camp is open from June 24th-August 23rd. Camp is closed June 17-21 (try our Deer Park Swim Camp only 10 miles away). Camp is closed July 4 for Independence Day.

Eldersburg Adventure Camp is for grades K-8. This camp includes 2 field trips per week, including a swim trip to Cascade Lake where swim lessons are available.  Click on the “Camp Calendar” link (to the right) to see a day-by-day breakdown of activities at camp!

BACK AGAIN THIS SUMMER! – Add on swim lessons: weekly swim lessons at Cascade Lake Swimming pool each Tuesday for the entire summer, June 25-August 20, except Thursday, June 27 and Monday, August 5.

NEW THIS SUMMER! - Campers in grades 4-8 may choose to register for Fierce Fabulous Fridays.  Campers may add-on the Friday trip to a week they have already selected OR register only for the Fierce Fabulous Friday including the field trip.

Discounts

Early Bird Discount:
Registration fee, including specific choice of weeks and $30 security deposit per week, must be paid by April 12th in order to receive monies off per week! Families registering for 8 or more weeks are eligible for $25 off per week. Families registering for 5, 6, or 7 weeks are eligible for $20 off per week. Families registering for 3 or 4 weeks are eligible for $15 off per week. Early bird tuition for balance of June weeks is due May 17th. Early bird tuition for balance of July weeks is due June 7th. Early bird tuition for balance of August weeks is due July 12th.

Sibling Discount:
Applies for ALL camps! If more than one child from the same family attends the same week of ABC Care Summer Camp, a $10 discount applies to the price for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th child. If the children attend different camps with different prices, the sibling discount will be applied to the lowest price camp.

Referral Discount:
If you know of a potential new family who has never attended an ABC Care Summer Camp, please submit their information using the referral form. If the referral joins ABC Care Summer Camp this year, you will receive a $50 credit towards camp tuition. You must be a current registered family with your account in good standing when the referred family joins. Upon full payment by your referral, the referring family will receive their credit. There will be no cash refund of the referral credit.

Prepayment Discount:
When balance is paid in full by May 17th, 2013 by Automatic Bank Debit (ACH), Personal Check, or Money Order only, families will receive a 2% discount off of balance! (Minimum of 6 weeks registration required.)

Activities

The above weeks will include art activities, science, team building, group games and sign language. Activities also include a time for reading and journaling. We encourage literacy activities all summer!

Special days to include: Bike and scooter days, dress up days, water play days, cookout days, special treat days and theme parties.  Click on Camp Calendar link (right side, top of this page, red text) to see a day-by-day breakdown of activities at camp!

Children need to bring their own lunch in an insulated lunch tote and 2 disposable drinks each day. Each Friday, Lunch Bunch is offered as an option (nominal fee). Lunch Bunch is a hot lunch selected, cooked and served by the children under staff supervision.

On field trip days, children must bring lunch in a plastic disposable bag and 2 disposable drinks.

Camp is all inclusive to include AM/PM snacks, field trips and daily activity supplies. This camp features a large spacious gym, shaded picnic grove and grassy fields for active play.

Staff Bios

Ms. Kate is a certified Early Childhood Teacher and currently the Director of our site at Eldersburg Elementary. She has worked with children for over 20 years, from infancy through early teens! She amazingly once nannied for preemie triplets and also ran/directed a private preschool in the Eldersburg area. Ms. Kate loves working with children and watching them triumph in their discoveries. Her philopsophy has always been "let's make learning fun!"
