MARVELOUS MIDDLE SCHOOLERS!

ABC Care camps aren’t just for elementary students!

Our Amazing Race Camp has been an exciting summer activity for our middle school students.  This camp sets out each day ready for adventure and fun! The camp activities strive to foster leadership, responsibility and team work in our campers.

Previous Amazing Race Camp trips have been to Sandy Point State Park tubing (Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia), the Harley Davidson Factory (York, Pennsylvania), the Utz Factory and Snyders Factory (Hanover, Pennsylvania), Codorus Pool (Hanover, Pennsylvania), the Visionary Art Museum (Baltimore’s Inner Harbor) and to Six Flags Amusement Park (Landover, Maryland).

Discounts

Early Bird Discount: 
Registration fee, including specific choice of weeks and $30 security deposit per week, must be paid by April 12th in order to receive monies off per week! Families registering for 8 or more weeks are eligible for $25 off per week. Families registering for 5, 6, or 7 weeks are eligible for $20 off per week. Families registering for 3 or 4 weeks are eligible for $15 off per week. Early bird tuition for balance of June weeks is due May 17th. Early bird tuition for balance of July weeks is due June 7th. Early bird tuition for balance of August weeks is due July 12th.

Sibling Discount:
Applies for ALL camps!  If more than one child from the same family attends the same week of ABC Care Summer Camp, a $10 discount applies to the price for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th child.  If the children attend different camps with different prices, the sibling discount will be applied to the lowest price camp.

Referral Discount:
If you know of a potential new family who has never attended an ABC Care Summer Camp, please submit their information using the referral form.  If the referral joins ABC Care Summer Camp this year, you will receive a $50 credit towards camp tuition.  You must be a current registered family with your account in good standing when the referred family joins.  Upon full payment by your referral, the referring family will receive their credit.  There will be no cash refund of the referral credit.

Prepayment Discount:
When balance is paid in full by May 17th, 2012 by Automatic Bank Debit (ACH), Money Order, or Personal Check only, families will receive a 2% discount off of balance! (Minimum of 6 weeks registration required.)

Activities
June 24-28:

Monday– Gettysburg National Military Park (Gettysburg, PA)
Museums, Battlefields and Ghosts, Oh My! Tour Gettysburg including the Gettysburg National Military Park Cyclorama and Museum, as well as historic Dobbin House & a Ghost Tour. 

Tuesday – Shenandoah River Tubing (near Harpers Ferry, WV)
Kickback and enjoy your tubing trip down the lazy river.  Leisurely float along in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains!  Grab lunch and some ice cream before heading home!

Wednesday – Sandy Point State Park (Annapolis, MD)
Sand, surf and sun.  A beach get away day with your friends!  Play beach volleyball, body surf or boogie board!  Catch some rays or a wave for a fantastic day!

Thursday – Kayaking in Seneca Creek State Park (Gaithersburg, MD)
Meet the park ranger and take a lesson to learn how to kayak or improve your kayaking skills on beautiful Clopper Lake.  Take a hike along the self guided path, explore a 19^th century cabin and rest in a shady grove for lunch before returning to your base camp!

Friday– Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (Washington, DC)
Fly through the history of aeronautics as you tour the largest collection of air and space craft in the world! Enjoy a picnic lunch on the National Mall surrounded by some of our greatest historic monuments and museums!

Staff Bios

Returning from last Summer is Mr. Bob Pierson. Bob is an avid outdoorsman enjoying many outdoor activities including boating, kayaking, hiking, and fishing. Bob enjoys the daily field trips with the Amazing Race Camp and watching friendships grow and develop.
Robin M Pierson, is the owner of Always Believe in Children and Founder and Executive Director of ABC Care Inc which currently operates thirteen school age child care centers and seven summer camps. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education at Towson State University in Baltimore Maryland. Every year, she attends numerous continuing education classes related to childcare issues, management, supervising, professionalism, curriculum childcare development and non-profit corporation structure. She has over thirty years experience as a childcare business owner and educator. She has true understanding of the needs and interests of school age children and their families. Robin embraces the zeal and desire to own and run one's own business. A wife and mother of two daughters, she appreciates the value of balance between family and career.
